The case for Marketing Capabilities
Companies that outperform their peers always have a capable marketing team at the base of their commercial success. A capable marketing team is trained to develop more competitive strategies that establish brand preference and more creative executions that break the clutter.
As a recent McKinsey study reports, “revenue growth at companies with more advanced marketing and sales capabilities tend to be 30% greater than the average company within their sector “(Source: McKinsey Analysis, March 2015)
Some blue chip companies have internal Marketing Capabilities programs that train the teams both on the fundamentals of marketing and the new and transformational marketing capabilities, to stay ahead of the curve and compete more effectively.
Yet the majority of companies do not have such a program in place because the urgency and pace of daily operations take centre stage: no time to train people, to solve fundamental issues and explore more effective solutions and new opportunities. And this is where we come in: both in developing a stronger marketing team and helping to solve marketing challenges to make your brands more competitive.
